Senior Systems Engineer
Job Description:
This individual will have responsibility for technical sales of the Woven Systems products and support offerings. The Woven products are used to build high performance, scalable, data center networking solutions. This individual will work with team members and partners to create solutions that solve our customer’s business and technical challenges.
The candidate will have relevant technical experience in the LAN switching and data center computing space. Candidates must possess a thorough understanding of the marketplace and competitive landscape. Candidates must have the ability to develop relationships and demonstrate value at many different levels within a customer organization. Candidates must have strong knowledge and understanding of data networking products and related design as well as the ability to effectively articulate Woven’s unique value proposition at various levels within an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Translate technical requirements into highly successful sales
- Sell products, values, and concepts at the technical level and represent the company tactfully and professionally
- Monitor and evaluate the activities and products of the competition
- Conceptualize and implement technical architectures that meet the sales goals/objectives
- Provide technical support in sales presentations and product demonstrations
- Understand, architect, develop, and deliver solutions to customers' business, information, and technical needs
- Develop relationships with customers' technical organizations and maintain high degree of customer satisfaction with Woven Systems’ solutions
- Provide consultative support in his/her area of specialization to other systems engineers
- Manage strategic customer deployment staging, product performance testing, and competitive product bake-offs
- Participate in the actual set up and execution of these activities in addition to managing the successful completion of the project
Qualifications:
- BS degree in computer science strongly preferred
- Minimum 6 years experience in IP networking protocols and complex network infrastructure designs
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts
- Self starter with solid knowledge of the market
- Demonstrated ability in building executive and technical relationships
- Successful track record in working with integrators and resellers to solve customer requirements
